What This Is

A visual tool that turns your to-do list into a map of your priorities. You choose two factors that matter most to you in the next month and plot each one by how important it is and how much time it requires. Then you plot your action options. The picture shows where you are over-invested in the urgent at the expense of the important, and where your effort and your impact have drifted apart.

Busy and productive are not the same thing. This tool helps you tell them apart.

Who It’s For

  • Leaders and professionals who feel always busy but never caught up

  • Teams burning out even though everyone is working hard

  • Anyone who wants to invest their energy where it drives the most impact

How Long It Takes

  • 20 to 30 minutes to fill out

  • 15 minutes to reflect

How to Use It

  1. Pick two factors from the list on page 2 that matter most to you in the next month.

  2. Write or type them in the two Factor boxes on page 1.

  3. Plot each factor on the map by how important it is and how much time it requires.

  4. Plot your action options in the space that fits each one.

  5. Take 15 minutes to look at the picture and reflect on what it shows.

Reading Your Map

  • Top right (more important, less time required): Do it now.

  • Top left (more important, more time required): Plan and protect time for it.

  • Bottom right (less important, less time required): Easy wins, or things to hand off.

  • Bottom left (less important, more time required): The first place to cut.
