Where does this conflict actually live?

Get ready to roll, react, and rethink how conflict shows up at work. This activity is all about turning everyday tension into something useful—because not all conflict is bad. When handled well, it can sharpen ideas, strengthen relationships, and move the work forward.

As you play, you’ll explore real-world scenarios that might feel familiar. Your goal isn’t to “solve” them perfectly—it’s to get curious about what’s really going on beneath the surface and what better conflict could look like in action. Keep it honest, keep it open, and don’t be afraid to challenge each other—that’s where the good stuff happens.

How to Play:

  1. In your group, choose one person to roll the die.

  2. After the die is rolled, click the matching die below.

  3. The roller then reads the scenario out loud.

  4. As a group, discuss:

    • Where does this conflict actually live? (In Me, Between Us, In Our Groups, Across Our Groups)

    • What’s the real problem?

    • What would “good conflict” look like here?
